“Hideous!” was the first thing that came out of my mouth when I opened up this poster. The whole poster is practically blue, and since it’s a large size it’s even more obvious. Trust me on this, find another poster with colors that are closer to the original.
Customer Review: Beauty with other-wordly touch
Vincent Van Gogh is neither my favorite artist nor an artist whose work I dislike. I usually look at a Van Gogh work and think, “That’s nice. It’s interesting.” His work usually does not instill enthusiasm in me. But, this one, along with “Iris Garden”, is different. The colors are such lush and so vivid, that I want to run my hand across the picture. There is such a strong impression of texture, conveyed even in art posters such as this, that I expect to feel the waves, bumps, ridges, and ripples of the surface. While I usually prefer more realistic art, this picture is so clearly what it is, yet also so alien in its beauty, that it makes me stop and stare at it, while wondering how Van Gogh really saw the world. This print or poster is a good one for an office, and it might end up in mine.

Customer Review: Impressionist Coloring Book For Kids Of Any Age
I am a fan of this series of books, and especially appreciate their utility in introducing great art to children and young adults. I am a great admirer of Vincent van Gogh, and have always appreciated his unique style and especially his brushwork. In my mind his use of dynamic brushstrokes and bright contrasting colors defines impressionism for all time. The problem, of course, is that these characteristics are impossible to reproduce in a coloring book or paint-by-numbers book of any sort. While I prefer the abstract coloring books from the same series, I recognize that impressionism is more difficult to reproduce than the (generally) hard-lined linearity inherent in abstract art. While I considered giving this book four stars due to the impossibilities in reproducing a van Gogh masterpiece, I elected to give it five because of the educational and inspirational value that exposing people to these great works intrinsically has. The book is well printed, and comes with a nice color guide for rendering the individual pieces. It is a bargain, and is a great, interactive way to introduce kids (or adults new to van Gogh, for that matter) to the work of the master impressionist.

This is a great coloring book for adults. I use it as a time to just do something a little mindless. Its a nice change to have a book like this that isn’t a bunch of cartoons intended for 5 year olds.

I bought these for my husband, a self-proclaimed art junkie. We don’t “play” with these, but they do sit in various locations around the house so we can enjoy them. I love the expressions on Dali’s and Picasso’s faces, and I love that Warhol is holding a can of soup. Frida and Vincent are just OK.

The words after that are Van Gogh’s words taken from his letters to Theo and various others. I find it extremelly intersting to read what he wrote about his works as he did them. This is a terrific book.

Customer Review: Not Worth The Money
It has been a few years since I last wrote any product review on Amazon, but this product has compelled me to write a negative review. First, if you expect an abundance of great modernist paintings that would fully exploit the HD grandness that is PDP or LCD TV, FORGET IT. There is ONLY 30 shots. Next, utilizing a DVD with 4.7gb worth of storage for 30 photos and respective music, which comes to 30 songs, WITHOUT any manual function that you can control the photo/song setup is pretty devasting for a product of this price (currently at twenty five USD). Even DVD movies costing this much has far more entertaining functions such as director’s cuts etc. Where was all that money invested into? Getting the rights to store those arts in to a DVD? And without any manual control possible for the user, all possibly using far less space available on a DVD. Kinda maks you wonder if this money was better spent elsewhere. All in all, not worth the money I paid. Better leave my LCD TV blank, until a better solution to use that space. May be photos of your family burned on a DVD may be a better choice that this.
